Whilst sharing our mode of transport is not something we would usually share with you, on this occasion we could not resist. We took the ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm, a 16 hour overnight trip, which was more like a mini cruise liner. As you already know the living conditions were cramped, however the views coming into Sweden were well worth the high school camp conditions.
At 8:00am we started to sail into Sweden and into all its majestic scenery. We ate breakfast next to a window as we went by tiny densely tree covered islands. From the top deck we got quite carried away but provided a little sampler of our favourite shots for you.
Simon and I have been experimenting a bit with our camera and found a colour filter feature, we loved these shots. Let us know what you think of the feature.
At 10:30am Stockholm greeted us with amazing weather and sights.
More on Stockholm to come later.

P.S. Simon is thinking of shaving, feedback welcome and wanted!
Hi Amy and Simon,
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like waking up on a ship coming into port with all the wonderful sights. Your photos are fabulous. The beard looks good Simon, but does it pass the scratch test? Maybe shave now and grow a beard when it gets colder.
Keep having fun. Love mum
Thanks Mum, it does pass the scratch test. Simon is afraid it looks a bit scraggly... so he is throwing around the idea of shaving it off. All is going really well so far, we will share more on our time in Stockholm when we leave tomorrow. We will most likely write our post on the train while we have some down time. Constant crazy long days, walking over 10kms a day easily, but loving it. Love you, A xx
