Hi Everyone,
So the day has finally come, somebody needs to pinch me because this does not feel real. So much planning and organising has gone into this moment, so many conversations that I feel as though I'm over talking about the trip before its begun!
People continually say to Simon and I, "wow you must be so excited", but to be honest we both have been so busy organising and doing a million and 1 things that stopping to realise the amazingness of our journey ahead has not happened. Not to mention the great time that has been spent debating whether I can/ should pack my hair straightener and the pros and cons both ways. Yes, I caved and am bringing my hair straightener, stay tuned on whether this was a wise decision.
We depart at 9:30pm tonight flying Emirates, stopping at Dubai then London and finally arriving at Finland.
Ok I'm off to brace myself for the 30 hour flight ahead.

Absolutely the right decision Amy, you never know when you might want to splurge on a special dinner (birthday? wedding anniversary??) and look your best. Plus they're so small they hardly take up any room.

No news from home. Harry has been released & on parole .. for who knows how long. We got back from airport at 9:30 ... just about when you were taking-off. Subway dinner was good. Mascara on pillow has been sprayed cleaned from pillow case & your washing has been put away. Gourmet dinner tonight ... so expense sparred .. bangers & mash. By now you're on the way to London.
